My Three Week Trip!

I left home early on Sunday morning, July 26th. I needed to get away. It turned into three glorious weeks with friends and family. Details are to follow:

Week One: My dear friend, Nancy, and I met in Las Vegas for a week of relaxation. We worked hard for a couple of days, driving all over Las Vegas, taking Scentsy catalogs into every Salon and Nail shop we could find. We got several orders and met some wonderful people. We then spent a couple days at a spa (we got an amazing deal! We made friends with the front desk gal, and she gave us free day passes after our initial investment of a massage. Yay!) I've never been to a spa, and never had a good professional massage either. It was luxurious! It was 117 degrees that week in Las Vegas, we spent a lot of time indoors or in the pool. 117 degrees is way too hot!

Week Two: I left the following Sunday and drove to Manhattan Beach, California. I spent a week with my wonderful sister, Sally, and her three darling kids. Of whom I am not posting any pictures... but believe me, they are DARLING!!!! I loved spending every minute with them. Sally lives about 3 minutes from the pier. I spent time almost every day on the beach. And as always, I took a picture of my toes in the sand.

Week Three: On Saturday morning I left Manhattan Beach and drove to St. George, UT. I stayed at a gorgeous vacation home right on the golf course. It was stunning. I took a ton of pictures, and narrowed them down to the following:

View from the patio in the afternoon.

View from the patio at dusk.

My dear friend from ages ago, Rex. We met on a trip to Israel through BYU study abroad.

A view from the patio at sunset.

Following my stay in St. George I went to Cedar City, UT. Rex played his beautiful new piano for me. The next day I went to Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian Head, and then went hiking up in the gorgeous mountains, I hiked up a type of slot canyon, but then it got too steep and I couldn't continue.

More Cedar Breaks.

And more Cedar Breaks. Isn't it gorgeous?! I took tons more photos but narrowed it down to these for the blog.

This was in a canyon near Parowan, UT.

Looking up at the sky from the slot canyon I hiked.

Me in the slot canyon, I had to rest the camera on a rock and use the timer, since I was alone.

Rex at some petroglyphs he took me to.

Dinosaur fossil - cool!

Week Three: I drove to Salt Lake where I got to see my other good friend, Rex's brother, Lamar. This is a picture from a hike we took about a month ago.

Lamar in a mountain meadow, up Parley's Canyon.

Salt Lake was the destination for the annual Scentsy Convention and 5th anniversary party! It was great! Nancy met me there again and we had a good time.

At the Cirque de Berserk 5th B-day Bash!

This has the signatures of all the consultants who came to convention.

Partying at the convention, these girls weren't from our group, but they were having fun!

At the convention we got several new announcements - Scentsy has come out with a new, mid-size warmer, travel tins with a highly scented gel, and tons of new scents. Plus our little plug-in warmers now come in tons of different colors, and we have a new line of full size warmers.

Also, Scentsy is now going into CANADA! On October 1st we will officially open Canada for business. So if you have friends or family there, send me their names and addresses and I'll send them a catalog and an invitation to check Scentsy out.

The final big announcement was for consultants, but it was a huge one for me, Scentsy is now offering health, life, and liability insurance to their consultants on a group policy. Woo-hoo!

It was an amazing convention!

So that was it! I left Saturday morning and drove home. It was WONDERFUL to see my boys again! I am so happy to be home with them.

Now school is gearing up. Austin started swim team practice today, Rocky started cross country last week and we are finishing our last session of swim lessons. I can't believe that school is a week away. Sad. Soon we will be in cool weather and closing up the pool for the year.

I'd better go enjoy it now, it won't be long.

Great pictures. and what a great trip! What a woman you are to do that. It would be so hard to be away from your cute boys for that long but I'm glad you had a great time.
